indie rock band of the day

March 24, 2009

Bright Eyes:

For an indie rock band that’s sometimes considered “alternative country” (which I never heard existed until now), I hear a lot of The Cure in their music. Largely due to Conor Oberst’s vocals, which has strains of that trademarked British New Wave sound that borders on Punk Rock when the song has a really fast tempo.

Absolutely love them.
